Celebrity Costumes and Celebrities in Costume

Celebrities were on parade in costumes over the Halloween weekend. Both celebrities dressed in costume and everday people dressed in costume as celebrities. Seeing the large variety of 2011 costumes in the spotlight over the internet was entertaining to look through. From Heidi Klum’s Invisible Woman to Kim Kardashian’s Poison Ivy, the costumes were fun and creative.

Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi dressed in the Frisky Leopard Costume by J Valentine. Dressed in this sexy ensemble complete with scarlet red hair extensions and white feline contacts, Snooki hosted a spine-chilling Halloween bash at the Pure Nightclub at Caesars Palace. She even enhanced to sexy Leopard Costume with leopard spots bodypaint, black lip liner, long fingernails and thigh high boots.

Not the only celebrity donning a J Valentine costume, Laura J. Croft sported the Happy Kitty Costume. Resembling the Hello Kitty Costume, this Happy Kitty Costume included the track-style jacket dress, hood with pom-pom ties and a plush backpack. One of our favorite shots was a group dressed as President Obama and Mr. T with a dead Osama Bin Laden corpse in a Navy Seal box. This duo was very creative and took first prize in their costume contest. Mr. T was dressed in an army camoflauge jumpsuit with strands of gold beads and a mohawk. President Obama wore our Obama mask and was dressed in a suit. The Navy Seal box contained our Osama Bin Laden costume and was complete with comical US Navy Seals stickers.

Geek Gamer Girls Cosplay through Music Video

A great parody of Katy Perry’s California Gurls has been circulating the internet and I really wanted to share this one with you all because of all the costumes featured in it! A group of geek gamer girls formed a singing quartet known as Team Unicorn and they cosplay their way through their first music video for their song Geek and Gamer Girls. I found a lot of the costumes we carry throughout the entire video. You really have to appreciate all of the costumes used for the music video cosplay. I spotted toy lightsabers, The Star Trek shirt and wig for Spock, Darth Maul costume, Spiderman costume and The Flash superhero costume just to name a few!

Michele Boyd from The Guild cosplays Han Solo from Star Wars, Milynn Sarley known as “TheGamerChick” on her YouTube vlog cosplays as Psylocke from X-Men, Clare Grant from Saber cosplays Lara Croft from Tomb Raider and Rileah Vanderbilt from Saber cosplays The Baroness from G.I. Joe. Did you know they also most recently cosplayed the Sailor Moon characters at the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con? I also found out that Milynn, Rileah, and Michele play in the same guild on the RPG game World of Warcraft. Way to represent!

It is hard to pick from them all, but I would have to say my favorite of them all is the female version of the Han Solo costume from Star Wars. My hats off to Team Unicorn! What is your favorite costume from the Geek and Gamer Girls cosplay music video?

Katy Perry has been in the holiday spirit this year by sporting fantastic Christmas costumes on stage during her performances! She performed in fun and festive Christmas costumes for the Z100’s Jingle Ball in Madison Square Garden, New York City and at the KIIS FM’s 2010 Jingle Ball in Los Angeles. On stage, she was joined by at least three back-up dancers dressed in Santa Claus suits as she performed a medley of her hit songs. The stage was decorated with giant snowflakes and a large Christmas tree.

One of her stage outfits included a very sexy snowman costume. The stunning pin-up star wore a puffy white dress with over-sized black buttons and a mini black velvet top hat cocked at a sassy angle on her head. She topped her Christmas snowman costume off with a red, green and white fringed scarf and tiger striped glovettes for a touch of Katy. Frosty the snowman would be envious of her style!

New York City loved the 26-year-old singer’s skimpy toy soldier costume. The sexy toy soldier costume was paired with thigh high white boots and fishnet stockings for the Jingle Ball celebration. The toy soldier costume consisted of sparkly blue hot shorts with a strapless yellow top with coat tails, gold fringed shoulder pieces and a classic toy soldier hat with plume.

I saved the best Christmas costume for last! My favorite was her latest ensemble featuring a red satin leotard with white fur trimmed plunging neckline and a flaring fur-trimmed skirt left open to reveal her trim figure. She finished off her Mrs. Santa Claus costume with white gloves, fur-trimmed Santa hat and vibrant red lipstick. She toned down the glamor a bit with

her comfortable black workman boots to more easily dance on stage during the performance. Three dancers in Santa Claus suits would kneel and pay homage to the lovely Mrs. Claus during the performance.
